Ryou Ariyama originally launched the action fantasy novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in August 2019. Shogakukan began publishing the series under its Gagaga Books label in June 2020, with illustrations by Kodama. The sixth volume was released in November 2025. A manga adaptation by Ryou Kamito began serialization on the Manga Doa app in April 2021, with Mag Garden releasing the fifth volume in November 2025.

English Manga Release

Seven Seas Entertainment has licensed the manga adaptation in English, bringing the story to a wider audience. The first volume was published on January 13, with the second volume scheduled for release on April 27. This provides English-speaking fans with an opportunity to engage with the "Romelia Senki" story before the anime adaptation airs.
