New Cast Members Join "Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table" Anime

The anime adaptation of Yuushi Ukai's light novel series, "Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table," has announced additional cast members. The series premiered in Japan on January 7 and is available on various platforms.

Cast Additions

Shizuka Itou, known for her role in "Yofukashi no Uta," will voice Hakushi. Natsuko Abe, from "Kami no Tou: Ouji no Kikan," will play Moegi. Airi will be voiced by Yume Miyamoto, who starred in "Wonder Egg Priority." Rina Honizumi, from "Ore dake Level Up na Ken," will portray Chara. Ayana Taketatsu, of "Vigilante: Boku no Hero Academia Illegals," will voice Sumiyaka.

Production Team

Souta Ueno is directing the anime at Studio Deen. Rintarou Ikeda is in charge of series composition. Eri Osada is designing the characters. Junichi Matsumoto is composing the music.

Light Novel and Manga Information

Yuushi Ukai began writing the light novel series in November 2022. Kadokawa published the ninth volume on January 23. A manga adaptation by Banzai Kotobuki Daienkai began serialization in April 2023. Kadokawa released the fifth manga volume on January 23.

Yen Press Licensing

Yen Press has licensed both the light novel and manga for English release. The fourth light novel volume is scheduled for release in August 2025. The fifth volume will be released on February 10. The first manga volume is set to be released on August 25.

Promotional Video Release

A promotional video titled "Candle Woods" has been released. This promotional video offers a glimpse into the world of the anime. The video showcases the intense challenges and strategic gameplay.

Where to Watch
