Reborn as a Vending Machine Anime Announces Third and Final Season

The anime adaptation of Hirukuma's Reborn as a Vending Machine, I Now Wander the Dungeon light novel series is set to return for its third and final season. Fans can anticipate the premiere in April on Tokyo MX, BS NTV, and other channels. This season promises to conclude the storyline.

Returning Staff and Studio

Takashi Yamamoto will once again direct at Studio Gokumi and AXsiZ, mirroring his role in the second season. Tatsuya Takahashi is also returning to oversee the series scripts. Yūki Hagure's original designs are being adapted for animation. Naoki Yamauchi and Takahiro Sakai are handling the character designs.

Other staff members include Ryō Akizuki for Monster Design, Naoki Yamauchi, Masaru Koseki, Mi Jung Hwang, and Hyun Ju Song as Chief Animation Directors. Wen Shan Zhong is the Main Action Animator, and Yukiko Ibe handles Deformed Character Design. Shigeyuki Koresawa and Tom from Digital Noise are the Main Prop Designers. Michiru Odaka and Monta Tokita, also from Digital Noise, are in charge of Vending Machine Design. Yoko Suzuki is the Color Key Artist, while Katsuhisa Takiguchi from Studio Tulip and Michiru Odaka from Digital Noise handle Art Setting. Ken Naitō from Studio Tulip is the Art Director. Hisashi Matsumuko from STAR Laboratories is the Compositing Director of Photography. Mutsumi Takemiya will edit the series, and Noriyoshi Konuma is the Sound Director. Keita Takahashi and Yūta Uraki are composing the music. Tetsuya Tomioka serves as the Animation Producer.

Cast Reunion

Jun Fukuyama and Kaede Hondo will reprise their roles as Hakkon (Boxxo) and Lammis, respectively. Satomi Akesaka joins the cast as Pitii.

The returning voice actors include Kotomi Aihara as Hyūrumi, Miyu Tomita as Shui, Kazuya Nakai as Kerioiru, Ai Kayano as Firumina, Atsushi Miyauchi as Director Bear, Daiki Yamashita as Aka, Junya Enoki as Shiro, Takuya Eguchi as Michelle, Rena Maeda as Mikene, Shiori Izawa as Suko, Yū Serizawa as Pel, Sora Tokui as Short, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Hebui, Rie Takahashi as Kikoyu, Ryōko Shiraishi as Sullimu, and Mao Yabuki as Black Yata.

Previous Seasons and Availability

The second season of the anime premiered in July 2025. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired, and also offers an English dub.

Light Novel and Manga

Yen Press has published all three volumes of the light novels in English, describing the story of a middle-aged man who is reborn as a vending machine in a monster-infested dungeon.

Hirukuma serialized the story on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website from March to December 2016, with epilogue stories following in January and February 2017. Kadokawa's Sneaker Bunko published the novels with illustrations by Itsuwa Katō, starting in July 2016. The third and final volume was released in February 2017.

Kunieda launched a manga adaptation in Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine in August 2021. Yen Press is releasing the manga digitally.
