The Original Light Novel Series
The Ascendance of a Bookworm narrative originates from Miya Kazuki's "biblia fantasy" light novel series. The author initially began publishing the novels on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in 2013, with the web novel concluding its run in 2017. You Shiina illustrates the print edition of the series. The main series concluded with its 33rd volume, which corresponds to volume 12 of part 5, released in December 2023. The entire novel series has achieved significant success, with over 13 million copies currently in circulation, a figure that includes digital copies. J-Novel Club is responsible for releasing both the light novels and several of the associated manga adaptations in English-speaking markets.
