New Cast Members and Character Promo Revealed for "Observation Records of My Fiancee" Anime

The official X account for the upcoming television anime series, "Observation Records of My Fiancee: The Misadventures of a Self-Proclaimed Villainess," has unveiled exciting news for fans. Four new voice actors have joined the cast, and a fourth character promotional video has been released. This comedic fantasy anime, adapted from Shiki's light novel series, is scheduled to premiere on April 6 at 10:00 p.m. on Tokyo MX, followed by broadcasts on BS11 and Sun TV.

Expanding the Cast

The newly announced cast members and their respective roles are:

  • Ayumu Murase as Shawn Turqouin Alphasta
  • Ayaka Ohashi as Joanna Curtswarren
  • Shun Horie as Nelt Krum
  • Iori Saeki as Silica Lunea

These actors will bring their talent to these characters, adding depth and personality to the anime adaptation.

Production Team

The anime is being directed by Junichi Yamamoto at Ashi Productions. Akiko Inoue is in charge of the series composition, ensuring a cohesive narrative flow. Miki Matsumoto is responsible for the character designs, capturing the essence of the original light novel illustrations. The music is being composed by Yuuki Hayashi, Luke Standridge, and Asa Taylor, promising a captivating soundtrack.

Source Material

Shiki began writing the original novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in 2016. AlphaPolis began publishing the novel under its Regina Books label in May 2017, featuring illustrations by Hachipisuwan. A sequel light novel, titled "An Observation Log of My Wife Who Calls Herself a Villainess," was launched in April 2022. Natsume Hasumi created a manga adaptation that ran from May 2018 to August 2021. Hasumi also started a manga adaptation of the sequel light novel in March 2022.

English Release

Hanashi Media acquired the license to publish the light novel in English in April 2024. AlphaPolis began publishing the manga on its Alpha Manga platform in June 2023, making it accessible to a wider audience.
