Anime Adaptation of Enjoying a One-Room Tatami Life! Announced for 2026

The distribution company REMOW has officially announced the television anime adaptation of Kumako Hisama's manga, Enjoying a One-Room Tatami Life! The series is slated to premiere in April 2026, promising fans a delightful dive into the comedy ecchi world crafted by Hisama.

The announcement came with the reveal of the voice cast, featuring a talented ensemble of actors. Here's a glimpse at the main characters and their respective voice actors:

  • Meiko Morita will be voiced by Hana Hishikawa.
  • Rie Amamiya will be voiced by Saho Shirasu.
  • Marika Suzuki will be voiced by Chiharu.
  • Neo Nakano will be voiced by Miyari Nemoto.
  • Michika Narumi will be voiced by Momoka Terasawa.
  • Miori Morita will be voiced by Natsumi Murakami.
  • Magical Momorin Gouda will be voiced by Kaori Maeda.

Staff Announcement

Alongside the cast reveal, REMOW also announced the key staff members who will be bringing the manga to life on screen. Tatsuya Takahashi is in charge of series composition and will be penning the script alongside Kana Yamada. Toshinori Watanabe will be directing the anime at PRA. Fumiya Uehara is designing the characters, ensuring the visual appeal of the adaptation. The music will be composed by MONACA, known for their work on various anime series.

Manga Origins

Kumako Hisama's Enjoying a One-Room Tatami Life! initially appeared as a guest series in Manga Time Kirara in May 2018. The series gained popularity, leading to its regular serialization in the same magazine starting in December of the same year. Houbunsha published the fourth volume of the manga in July 2025, indicating the ongoing success and fan following of the series.
