Staff Details Revealed
The website revealed the core team responsible for bringing the manga to life on screen. Kazuya Komai, known for their work as an episode director on A-Channel, will be directing the anime. Deko Akao, who has writing credits on Komi-san wa, Comyushou desu., is in charge of the series composition, ensuring the story flows smoothly across episodes. Shouhei Hamaguchi, the character designer for Glamorous Heroes, will be adapting the manga's visual style for animation. The animation production is entrusted to Studio Sakura Create.

Ayune Araragi initially published the manga under the title Rinna Keibu wa Iki ga Dekinai in Comic REX magazine from October 2016 to December 2017. The series was then relaunched in Monthly Shounen Ace magazine in December 2020 with the new title Isshiki-san wa Koi wo Shiritai. Kadokawa published the ninth volume of the manga in October 2025.
