Hell's Paradise Anime Season Shifts Air Time
The second anime season inspired by Yuji Kaku's Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku manga is changing its broadcast schedule. Starting next weekend with episode 18, the season will air on Sundays at 24:33, effectively Mondays at 12:33 a.m. This time slot adjustment is due to TV Tokyo's Sports Real & Live program broadcasting on Sundays at 11:42 p.m., which will include coverage of the XXV Winter Olympic Games and other sporting events.
New Voice Actor Revealed
In other news, the production team has confirmed that Ayumu Murase is voicing Shija, a ninja from the Iwagakure clan. This character was introduced in episode 17, keeping their gender ambiguous.

The current anime season premiered on January 11 at 11:45 p.m. on TV Tokyo and its affiliated networks. For viewers in Japan, the series is available for streaming 30 minutes later on platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, and Lemino.

Returning and New Staff
Kaori Makita, known for directing Twittering Birds Never Fly: The Clouds Gather, is back to direct the season at MAPPA. Twin Engine is credited for planning. Akira Kindaichi, who has worked on series scripts for titles like to the abandoned Sacred Beasts and Garo -Vanishing Line-, is again handling the series scripts. Akitsugu Hisagi, who contributed to sub-character design for Kids on the Slope and Banana Fish, is returning to design the characters. Yoshiaki Dewa, known for his work on The aquatope on white sand and IRODUKU: The World in Colors, is composing the music once again. Ayako Suenaga is returning as the color key artist.
The staff also includes new additions. Chika Toda, who previously served as assistant director of photography for Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 and RE-MAIN, is taking over as the new compositing director of photography, replacing Hyo Gyu Park. Junichi Higashi, who has worked on both seasons of Fairy gone and Love Live! Sunshine!!, is the new art director, replacing e-caesar.
Theme Songs
Tatsuya Kitani feat. BABYMETAL performs the opening theme song "Kasuka na Hana" (Faint Flower). Queen Bee performs the ending theme song "PERSONAL." These musical contributions enhance the overall viewing experience.

Manga Synopsis
The manga centers on Gabimaru, a former ninja renowned for his strength, who has abandoned his profession and violated his village's laws. Captured and facing execution, he claims to have no reason to live. However, his extraordinary training has allowed him to survive numerous execution attempts. Sagiri Asaemon, his executioner, believes he still clings to life and offers him a chance to earn his freedom: to find the elixir of immortality.
Manga Publication
Yuji Kaku launched the manga on Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ website and app in January 2018, concluding the series in January 2021. The 13th and final volume was released in April 2021.
English Release
Viz Media released the manga digitally through its Shonen Jump service, and Shueisha also released the manga through its MANGA Plus service. Viz Media also publishes the manga in print, making it accessible to a wide audience.
Stage Play Adaptation
The manga's second stage play adaptation, titled Hell's Paradise -Tsui no Sho- (Hell's Paradise -Final Chapter-), was performed in Tokyo and Kyoto in February 2024. This adaptation brings the story to life in a new medium.
Mobile Game
Twin Engine launched the Hell's Paradise: Paradise Battle survival role-playing game based on the manga for iOS, Android, and Windows on November 4. This game allows fans to further immerse themselves in the world of Hell's Paradise.
