Classroom of the Elite: Year 2 Premieres with New Theme Songs and Special Episode

The anime series "Classroom of the Elite: Year 2" is set to premiere on April 1st, accompanied by a new promotional video revealing the theme song artists. Kadokawa has announced that Eir Aoi will perform the opening theme song "MONSTER," while ZAQ will perform the ending theme song "Liar Veil."

Premiere Date and Special Episode

The new season will debut with a 90-minute special airing of the first four episodes on AT-X at 8:30 p.m. JST, Tokyo MX at 10:30 p.m. JST, BS NTV, KBS Kyoto, and Sun TV at 24:00 JST, and TV Aichi at 25:30 JST. From episode five onwards, the anime will air every Wednesday on AT-X at 9:30 p.m. JST, BS NTV at 24:30 JST, and on the same timeslot on Tokyo MX, KBS Kyoto, Sun TV, and TV Aichi.

Season Overview

This new series marks the fourth season of the overall anime franchise and will cover the first semester of the characters' second year. Fans can anticipate new challenges and developments as the story progresses into the next stage of their academic journey.

Production Staff

Noriyuki Nomata will direct the season at Larche, while Yasushi Shigenobu will oversee the series scripts. Shigenobu is also writing the scripts with Kyoko Katsuya. Maki Kono is designing the characters. Satoki Iida is the sound director, and Masaru Yokoyama and Kana Hashiguchi are composing the music at Lantis.

The second and third seasons adapt the original story's complete first-year-student arc. The second season premiered in July 2022, and Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired under the title "Classroom of the Elite II." The third season premiered in January 2024 and aired for 13 episodes, concluding the first-year arc. Crunchyroll streamed the season as it aired in Japan.
