
Anime enthusiasts rejoice as Crunchyroll expands its streaming library with exciting new additions. The platform has recently made available three highly anticipated titles: the Zombie Land Saga: Yumeginga Paradise anime film, the Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid: A Lonely Dragon Wants to be Loved anime film, and the Given: Moments in Life OVA. These releases promise more action, comedy, and emotional depth for fans to enjoy.
Zombie Land Saga: Yumeginga Paradise Now Streaming
The undead idol group returns to Crunchyroll with the Zombie Land Saga: Yumeginga Paradise film. This movie debuted theatrically on October 24, securing a strong start at number 8 during its opening weekend. It earned 97,269,200 yen, about 638,800 US dollars, in its initial three days. Before its Crunchyroll streaming release, fans in the United States and Canada experienced a special one-day English-dubbed screening hosted by Crunchyroll on January 19.
The film was directed by Takafumi Ishida and Takeru Satō, both known as episode directors for the Zombie Land Saga TV series, working at MAPPA. Shigeru Murakoshi, writer for The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights of the Apocalypse, penned the screenplay. Character designs were handled by Fumihide Sai, Jinshichi Yamaguchi (chief animation directors for the series), and Kasumi Fukagawa (series character designer). Yasuharu Takanashi returned to compose the music, while Yuriko Waki reprised her role as an animation producer.
Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid Film Arrives
Fans of slice-of-life comedy and heartwarming fantasy can now stream Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid: A Lonely Dragon Wants to be Loved. The film first opened in Japan on June 27, appearing in 199 theaters. Crunchyroll provided North American audiences an early viewing, screening the film in Japanese with English subtitles on October 20.
Tatsuya Ishihara, director of Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid S and Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions, directed this new film. The beloved main cast returned, featuring Mutsumi Tamura as Kobayashi, Yūki Kuwahara as Tohru, and Maria Naganawa as Kanna. New characters were introduced, with Fumihiko Tachiki voicing Kimun Kamui and Nobunaga Shimazaki as Azad. Notably, Shiori Sugiura took over the role of Ilulu, following Tomomi Mineuchi's departure from voice acting in 2022.
The film boasts an engaging musical lineup. fhána performs the opening theme "Namida no Parade." The ending theme, "Bokutachi no Hibi," is sung by Sachiko Kobayashi, and kotringo contributes the insert song "Negaigoto."
Given: Moments in Life OVA Explores Beloved Characters
Completing Crunchyroll's new additions is the Given: Moments in Life OVA. This original video animation collects poignant short stories, delving deeper into the lives of Mafuyu, Ritsuka, Haruki, Akihiko, and Ugetsu. The OVA originally shipped in October 2025 with a limited edition of Given 10th Mix, a spinoff manga from Natsuki Kizu's Given series.
Natsuki Kizu launched the original Given manga in Chéri+ in 2014. The manga concluded in March 2023, with its ninth and final volume released in September 2023. Viz Media's SuBLime imprint publishes the manga in English.
The Given franchise has seen numerous adaptations. A TV anime adaptation premiered in July 2019. An anime film based on the manga opened in Japan in May 2020, also streaming on Crunchyroll. Another OVA, Given: Uragawa no Sonzai, focusing on Mafuyu and Ritsuka during the film's events, bundled with manga volume seven in December 2021. Crunchyroll streamed this OVA starting July 2022. More recently, a two-part sequel anime film project released: Eiga Given: Hiiragi mix debuted in January 2024, followed by the Eiga Given: Umi e film in September 2024.
