The official website for the Yuru Camp anime series, also known as Laid-Back Camp, recently unveiled exciting details regarding the highly anticipated Season 4. Fans can mark their calendars for 2027, as that is when the next installment of this beloved slice-of-life manga adaptation will begin airing. The announcement was accompanied by a teaser visual and a promotional video, further fueling the excitement among fans.
Key Staff Members Revealed
The announcement included a list of the main staff members who will be contributing to the creation of Season 4. Shin Tosaka, who directed Season 3, will be returning to helm the directorial duties for the upcoming season. Pierre Sugiura, known for his work on Barakamon, will be handling the series composition. A notable addition to the team is Ryuta Ura, who served as the chief animation director for Princess Connect! Re:Dive. Ura will be taking on the role of character designer for Season 4. Akiyuki Tateyama, who composed the music for Nige Jouzu no Wakagimi, will be responsible for the music in the new season. Takeshi Takadera, the sound director for Hibi wa Sugiredo Meshi Umashi, will also be returning to his role. The animation for Season 4 will be handled by FuRyu Pictures, marking a change from the previous seasons.
Theme Song Artists and Returning Cast
Adding to the excitement, it was revealed that the theme song artists from previous seasons will be returning for Season 4. Afro began drawing the Yuru Camp manga in Manga Time Kirara Forward in May 2015. In March 2019, the manga transitioned to Comic Fuz. Houbunsha published the 18th volume of the manga in November 2025. The first and second seasons of the anime were produced by C-Station and aired in Winter 2018 and Winter 2021, respectively. The third season, animated by studio 8bit, aired in Spring 2024.
Spin-Off and Movie
In addition to the main seasons, a short spin-off series titled Heya Camp, also known as Room Camp, aired in Winter 2020. Crunchyroll has simulcast all three seasons of the anime, as well as the spin-off, with multiple subtitles and dubs, making it accessible to a wide audience. The Yuru Camp Movie was released in Japan in July 2022, further expanding the franchise's reach.
English Manga Release
Yen Press licensed the Yuru Camp manga in English in April 2017. The 17th volume of the English manga was released on February 24, allowing English-speaking fans to enjoy the original source material.
