'Tsue to Tsurugi no Wistoria Season 2' Reveals Additional Staff, Theme Songs, Main Promo

Wistoria Wand and Sword Season Two Set to Premiere
The second season of the television anime adaptation of Fujino Omori and Toshi Aoi's action fantasy manga, Wistoria Wand and Sword, is slated to begin airing on April 12. The series will be broadcast on TBS' 28 affiliated stations at 4:30 p.m.
Staff Additions
Several new staff members have joined the production team for the second season. Noboru Kimura, known for their work on Solo Leveling, will be handling series composition. Akira Kikuchi, an animation director on I Quit A-Rank Party to Adventure with My Former Students In The Labyrinth's Depths, joins Raita Sunaga and Yoshirou Harada in monster design. Ryou Akizuki, who worked on Princess Principal, and Masaki Hiraoka, of Mobile Suit Gundam fame, are now responsible for prop design. Takuji Goshima, the CG director for Ragna Crimson, also joins the team.
Returning staff include Sayaka Ono as character designer and chief animation director, Naomi Nakano for color design, Yuki Maeda as art director, Ayako Ootsuki as director of photography, Masato Yoshitake for editing, Hiroto Morishita as sound director, and Yuuki Hayashi for music composition.
Theme Songs Announced
Japanese rock band ASH DA HERO, known for their work on Blue Lock, will perform the opening theme song, titled BELIEVERS. Shiyui, who previously worked on May I Please Ask You Just One Last Thing, will perform the ending theme, Reach Light. Both theme songs are previewed in the newly released promotional video.
Production Team
Hideaki Nakano, who directed Servamp, is directing the second season, with Tatsuya Yoshihara, known for Black Clover, serving as chief director. Actas and Bandai Namco Pictures are handling the animation production.
Manga and Light Novel Details
Omori and Aoi began serializing the Wistoria Wand and Sword manga in Bessatsu Shounen Magazine in December 2020. Kodansha published the 14th volume in November 2023, and the 15th volume is scheduled for release on April 9.
Omori also penned a prequel light novel, Wistoria's Wand and Sword Grimo Acta, in July 2023, featuring illustrations by Yuunagi.
English Release
Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English in November 2021. They published the 11th volume on January 23, and the 12th volume is scheduled for release on March 21.
Main Promotional Video
A main promotional video has been released, offering a first look at the second season's animation, characters, and theme songs. The video provides a glimpse into the upcoming storyline and the challenges the characters will face.
