Origins in Gaming and Manga
The Case Book of Arne originated as a game created by the production team Harumurasaki. It first launched on Game Magazine's website in November 2017, quickly gaining attention for its intriguing narrative. The game's story centers on an unusual partnership: Arne Neuntöte, a vampire detective, and Lynn Reinweiss, a noblewoman who harbors a strong affection for vampires. Together, they navigate and solve a series of bloody murder cases. The franchise has also seen adaptations in manga form. Soraho Ina, who previously drew a manga based on the game, launched a new manga adaptation of the anime's episodes titled The Case Book of Arne: Memory of Blood. This new series began on Bushiroad Works' Comic Growl website on January 7. Ina's initial manga adaptation of the game launched in Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Gene magazine in 2018, with Kadokawa publishing four compiled book volumes of that series.
