Dominant Debuts Lead the Charts
Resident Evil Requiem, also known as Biohazard Requiem, made a powerful entry, securing the top two spots. The PlayStation 5 version of the CAPCOM title debuted at number one, selling 155,373 copies in its initial week. Its total sales reached 155,373 copies since its February 27 release. The NSw 2 version of Resident Evil Requiem followed closely at number two. This version, also published by CAPCOM and released on February 27, recorded weekly sales of 38,793 units. Its total copies sold matched its weekly figure at 38,793.
Shutokō Battle, known internationally as Tokyo Xtreme Racer, also marked its debut on the PlayStation 5. Published by Genki, this racing title launched on February 26. It secured the third position in the rankings, selling 17,669 copies in its first week. The total copies for Shutokō Battle on PS5 stood at 17,669.
Remastered Tales and Arcade Classics
Tales of Berseria Remastered made its appearance on two platforms. The NSw version, published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, debuted at number six on February 26. It sold 9,798 copies in its first week, bringing its total sales to 9,798 units. The PlayStation 5 version of Tales of Berseria Remastered, also from Bandai Namco Entertainment and released on February 26, entered the chart at number eleven. This edition recorded weekly sales of 5,028 copies, with total sales also at 5,028 units.
Among other new releases, City Hunter for NSw entered the rankings at number thirteen. Published by Sunsoft, this title launched on February 26, selling 4,321 copies in its debut week. Its total sales matched this figure at 4,321 copies. Raiden Fighters Remix Collection, another NSw debut, was published by Moss on February 26. It achieved the nineteenth position, selling 3,671 copies in its first week. The total sales for Raiden Fighters Remix Collection stood at 3,671 units.
Enduring RPGs Across Platforms
Dragon Quest VII Reimagined continued to perform strongly across multiple systems. The NSw version, published by Square Enix and released on February 5, held the seventh position. It sold 9,640 copies during the week, contributing to its total sales of 231,718 units. The NSw 2 version of Dragon Quest VII Reimagined, also released on February 5 by Square Enix, ranked eighth. It added 8,748 copies to its sales, reaching a total of 202,770 units. The PlayStation 5 version of Dragon Quest VII Reimagined, also from Square Enix, was positioned at eighteenth. Released on February 5, it sold an additional 3,676 copies, with its total sales reaching 139,289 units.
Yakuza Kiwami 3, also known as Yakuza 3: Dark Ties, from Sega, maintained its presence on the PlayStation 5. Released on February 12, this title secured the sixteenth position. It recorded weekly sales of 4,209 copies. Its cumulative sales total reached 69,585 units.
Nintendo Exclusives Maintain Momentum
Nintendo’s exclusive titles consistently appeared in the rankings, demonstrating sustained player interest. Mario Tennis Fever for NSw 2, released by Nintendo on February 12, secured the fourth position. It sold 12,106 copies this week, bringing its total sales to 66,205 units. Mario Kart World, a Nintendo title listed for NSw 2 with a release date of June 5, 2025, ranked fifth. It sold 10,847 copies during the week, with total copies reaching 2,846,759.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons continued to be a strong seller for Nintendo. The NSw version, released on March 20, 2020, ranked ninth, selling 6,429 copies. Its impressive total sales reached 8,390,892 units. The NSw 2 version of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, released on January 15, held the tenth position. It sold 5,950 copies for the week, accumulating total sales of 78,521 units.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A also appeared on the chart with two entries. The NSw 2 version, from Nintendo and listed with an October 16, 2025 release, was at number twelve. It sold 4,463 copies for the week, with total sales of 1,095,003 units. The NSw version of Pokémon Legends: Z-A, also by Nintendo and listed with an October 16, 2025 release, ranked fourteenth. This version sold 4,240 copies, bringing its total sales to 1,619,587 units.
Super Mario Party Jamboree + Jamboree TV, a Nintendo title for NSw 2 listed with a July 24, 2025 release, secured the seventeenth position. It sold 3,813 copies during the reporting period, with total sales reaching 171,540 units. Kirby Air Riders, another Nintendo title for NSw 2, listed with a November 20, 2025 release, ranked twentieth. It sold 3,534 copies for the week, bringing its total sales to 506,817 units.
Consistent Chart Presence
Minecraft, published by Nippon Microsoft for NSw, continued its long-standing presence in the rankings. Released on June 21, 2018, it ranked fifteenth. It sold 4,213 copies this week, adding to its extensive total sales of 4,159,722 units.
