Ascendance of a Bookworm Season Four Announces New Cast Members
The official website for the television anime adaptation of Miya Kazuki's "Ascendance of a Bookworm: I'll Do Anything to Become a Librarian!" light novel series has revealed seven additional cast members for the upcoming fourth season, titled "Adopted Daughter of an Archduke". The anime is slated to premiere on April 4th, airing first on Yomiuri TV at 5:30 p.m., followed by Nippon TV Network, Tokyo MX, and AT-X.
New Cast Details
The newly announced cast members and their respective roles are:
- Georgine, voiced by Yukari Tamura.
- Veronica, voiced by Mami Koyama.
- Florencia, voiced by Minami Takayama.
- Bonifatius Sohn Ehrenfest Or Linkberg, voiced by Kazuhiro Yamaji.
- Angelica, voiced by Nao Touyama.
- Brigitte, voiced by Asami Seto.
- Zack, voiced by Katsumi Fukuhara.
Production Team
Yoshiaki Iwasaki is at the helm of the fourth season, directing at WIT Studio. Mariko Kunisawa is in charge of series composition. Aiko Minowa is handling character designs. Michiru is composing the music.
Previous Seasons
The first three seasons of "Ascendance of a Bookworm" were produced by Ajia-do, airing in Fall 2019, Spring 2020, and Spring 2022. Crunchyroll streamed the anime with subtitles and dubs. Sentai Filmworks licensed the first two seasons and released them on home video in January 2021.
Light Novel and Manga
Miya Kazuki originally penned the fantasy novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website from September 2013 to March 2017. TO Books began publishing the novel with illustrations by You Shiina in January 2015, concluding with the 33rd and final volume in December 2023.
Suzuka serialized a manga adaptation of the light novel's first part on the Comic Corona web magazine from October 2015 to July 2018. The second part began serialization in the same magazine in September 2018. TO Books published the 13th and final volume on September 15th.
Ryou Namino began serializing a manga adaptation of the third part in April 2018. Hikaru Katsuki began adapting the fourth part in December 2022.
