The rock band [Alexandros] will perform the opening theme song for the new Hokuto no Ken anime. The track, titled "Hallelujah," is previewed in the second promotional video. [Alexandros] has previously contributed to anime, including Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray. Their involvement provides the series with its theme song.

Manga's Historical Foundation

The anime is based on Buronson and Tetsuo Hara's action drama manga. This series began its serialization in Weekly Shounen Jump in September 1983. The manga's run concluded in August 1988. Shueisha published the 27th and final volume in March 1989. The manga established the foundational narrative for the anime.

Precedent Set by Original Anime Adaptations

Prior to this new series, the manga was adapted into an original anime by Toei Animation. The first series aired for 109 episodes from Fall 1984 to Winter 1987.
