The highly anticipated television anime adaptation of Hiromu Arakawa's action fantasy manga, Daemons of the Shadow Realm, is gearing up for its premiere. A special livestream presentation unveiled a wealth of new information, including additional cast members, the theme songs, a key visual, and the main promotional video.
Premiere Date and Broadcasting Details
Mark your calendars because Daemons of the Shadow Realm is scheduled to premiere on April 4 at 11:30 p.m. The anime will be broadcast for two consecutive cours on Tokyo MX, BS11, and other stations. This means viewers can expect a substantial and immersive viewing experience.
New Cast Members Announced
The livestream revealed several additions to the already stellar cast. Rikiya Koyama, known for his role in Bungou Stray Dogs, will be lending his voice to a character. Takako Honda, celebrated for her work in Fairy Tail: 100-nen Quest, will also be joining the ensemble. Miyuri Shimabukuro, recognised from Vanitas no Karte, will voice the character Hana. Junichi Suwabe, famous for his role in Jujutsu Kaisen, will be voicing Jin.
Theme Songs Previewed
The opening theme song, "Tobu Toki," is performed by the singer-songwriter Vaundy, who is also known for his work in Sakamoto Days. The ending theme song, "Tobou yo," is performed by yama, who is known for the song Sanda. Both theme songs are previewed in the main promotional video.
Production Staff Details
Masahiro Andou, acclaimed for directing Stranger: Mukou Hadan, is at the helm of the anime as the director at Bones Film. Noboru Takagi, recognised for his work on Golden Kamuy, is handling the series composition. Nobuhiro Arai, known for his involvement in Hitsugi no Chaika, is designing the characters. Kenichiro Suehiro, celebrated for composing the music for Goblin Slayer, is creating the musical score.
Manga Publication Information
Hiromu Arakawa began serialising the manga in Shounen Gangan in December 2021. Square Enix published the 11th volume in November 2025. The manga has garnered considerable attention and acclaim.
English Release Details
Square Enix licensed the manga for English release in July 2022. They published the ninth volume in December 2025. This allows English-speaking fans to enjoy the series.
