New "Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun" Spinoff Manga Announced

The official X account for Osamu Nishi's "Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun" manga series revealed exciting news for fans. A new spinoff manga is set to launch in Champion Buzz, a digital supplement to Akita Shoten's Weekly Shonen Champion magazine, starting on March 5.

This new series will focus on the adventures of the "Boku-Alliance" trio: Iruma, Lied, and Purson. The storyline will see them delving into the fascinating world of gaming, promising a fresh and engaging perspective on their characters. Konisuke, known for "Tenshi to Akuma Meshi," will be the artist behind the spinoff. Osamu Nishi is credited with the original story concept, and Atsu Tsudanuma, the artist for "Makai no Shuyaku wa Wareware da!," is credited with the story.

"IruMafia Edition" Spinoff Getting Anime Adaptation

Adding to the excitement, NHK announced that Hiroja's spinoff manga, "Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun: IruMafia Edition," is getting a television anime adaptation. The anime is scheduled to premiere in January 2027.

The "IruMafia Edition" manga initially launched in Akita Shoten's Bessatsu Shonen Champion magazine in September 2023. It later transitioned to Akita Shoten's Weekly Shonen Champion magazine on December 11. The seventh volume of the manga is set to be published by Akita Shoten on February 6.

"Kalego Gaiden" Manga Concluded

Osamu Nishi's "Kalego" spinoff manga, "Mairimashita! Iruma-kun: Kalego Gaiden," recently concluded its run in January 2024. The series had begun its serialization in Weekly Shonen Champion in December 2023.

Prior to this, Nishi had also created a two-chapter "Kalego Gaiden" spinoff manga back in 2020, demonstrating the character's popularity and potential for expanded storylines.

"Makai no Shuyaku wa Wareware da!" Spinoff Canceled

Atsu Tsudanuma's spinoff series, "Makai no Shuyaku wa Wareware da!," which is connected to the main "Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun" series, faced an unfortunate cancellation. The final chapter of the series was published in March 2025.

This series was a collaborative effort with the "◯◯ no Shuyaku wa Wareware da" YouTuber group. The manga had been running in Weekly Shonen Champion since January 2020. Akita Shoten published the manga's 22nd and final volume in June 2025.

Main Manga and Anime Series Continue to Thrive

Osamu Nishi's "Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun" manga has been a success since its launch in Weekly Shonen Champion in March 2017. The manga's popularity has led to a successful anime adaptation.

The first season of the anime premiered in October 2019, followed by the second season in April 2021. The third season debuted in October 2022, and the highly anticipated fourth anime season is scheduled to premiere in April 2026, continuing the adventures of Iruma and his demon school companions.
