The Asahi Shimbun newspaper has revealed the ten manga titles nominated for the prestigious 30th Annual Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize. This award celebrates the legacy of Osamu Tezuka, the legendary manga artist behind works like Astro Boy, Kimba the White Lion, and Black Jack, by recognizing manga that embody his innovative spirit.

Award Details
The winners will be announced by Asahi Shimbun in late April. An awards ceremony will be held in Tokyo on June 11 to honor the creators. The Grand Prize winner will receive a bronze statue of Osamu Tezuka and a monetary award. Other winners will also receive a bronze statue and a monetary award.
Last Year's Winners
Last year, the Grand Prize was awarded to Rintaro for his autobiographical manga 1-byo 24-koma no Boku no Jinsei. Shiho Kido's When the Chameleon Flowers Bloom received the New Creator Prize. Shunji Enomoto's The Kinks was honored with the Short Work Prize.
