One Piece: Into the Grand Line Season 2 Premieres Soon

Mark your calendars, One Piece fans Season two of the live-action adaptation, titled "One Piece: Into the Grand Line," is set to premiere on Netflix on March 10.

Exclusive Clip Unveiled at IGN Fan Fest 2026

IGN treated fans to an exclusive sneak peek during IGN Fan Fest 2026. The clip, clocking in at two minutes and twenty seconds, features the Straw Hats aboard their ship, discussing their plans to stop at Loguetown.

Theatrical Release for First Two Episodes

In a special treat for fans, the first two episodes of the season will be screened in over 200 theaters across Canada, the United States, and Japan on the premiere date.

Production Details and Story Arc

Production for the second season commenced in July 2024 and has since wrapped up. Series creator Eiichiro Oda has confirmed that the season will cover the story up to the Drum Island arc. This includes key locations and events such as Loguetown, Reverse Mountain and Twin Cape, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island.

New Writer Joins the Crew

Joe Tracz, known for his work on "Percy Jackson and the Olympians," joins the team as a writer, executive producer, and co-showrunner. He will be working alongside Matt Owens, who served as writer, executive producer, and co-showrunner in the first season. Steve Maeda, who was also a co-showrunner for Season 1, will continue as an executive producer.

Matt Owens Departs After Season 2

Matt Owens announced his departure from the show in March, after the completion of Season 2 production, citing the need to focus on his mental health.

Chopper's Voice and Facial Capture

Mikaela Hoover will be lending her voice to Chopper in the English version, and will also be providing the facial capture for the character.

Season 1 Recap and Awards

The live-action One Piece series made its debut on Netflix in August 2023. The first season consisted of eight episodes. The series garnered recognition at The 3rd Annual Children's & Family Emmy Awards, winning awards for "Outstanding Original Song for a Children's or Young Teen Program" and "Outstanding Stunt Coordination for a Live Program."

Production Companies

Tomorrow Studios, a partnership between producer Marty Adelstein and ITV Studios, produced the first live-action season. Becky Clements served as an executive producer alongside Maeda.
