Satoshi Mori, Director of Cardfight!! Vanguard Anime, Passes Away
Satoshi Mori, the founder and former president of Gift-o'-Animation, has passed away on February 20 after battling an illness. The announcement was made by Kinema Citrus, the animation studio, on Tuesday. Mori's family also confirmed the news, expressing gratitude to everyone who supported him throughout his life.
Founder of Gift-o'-Animation
Mori established Gift-o'-Animation in 2015, taking on the role of its first president. Under his leadership, the studio produced several anime series, most notably within the Cardfight!! Vanguard franchise.
Contributions to Cardfight!! Vanguard
Mori's contributions to the Cardfight!! Vanguard series are extensive. He produced two seasons of Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez, as well as Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez Deluxe-hen and Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez DELUXE Finals. The latter two projects were released in January and July of the previous year. Additionally, he produced two seasons of Cardfight!! Vanguard overDress and three seasons of Cardfight!! Vanguard will+Dress.
Beyond production, Mori also directed two seasons of Cardfight!! Vanguard overDress. He served as the chief director for the three seasons of Cardfight!! Vanguard will+Dress, further solidifying his influence on the series.
