A-DO Manga Returns From Hiatus

Jaku Amano's A-DO manga has resumed serialization in the March issue of Kodansha's Monthly Young Magazine, which was released on Thursday. The series had been on hiatus since October due to the author's health. Fans will be happy to see the series back on track.

Series Ending Soon

The 11th volume of the manga revealed that the series will conclude with its 12th volume. The final volume is scheduled for release in early 2026. This gives readers a timeframe for the manga's conclusion.

English Release

Kodansha USA Publishing is releasing the manga in English. This allows English-speaking fans to enjoy the series as well.

Story Synopsis

The story is set in Japan, which has become a diverse mix of people and cultures following a wave of immigration. The country is experiencing protests from xenophobic groups who are unhappy with the changing social landscape.

Riko and Eito Meet

Riko, a young woman who frequently changes jobs, is riding her scooter through a protest when she witnesses a boy about to be hit by a truck. She manages to push him out of harm's way.

Unexpected Encounter

Riko ends up taking care of the boy, named Eito. They go out for ramen together.

Supernatural Event

As they are about to eat, a sniper shoots at Eito. Plant-like tendrils emerge from his arm and stop the bullet mid-air. This raises questions about Eito's identity and why he is being targeted.

Amano launched the manga in Monthly Young Magazine in June 2019. The series has been running for several years.

Volume Nine Available

Kodansha USA Publishing released the ninth volume in English on February 3. Readers can catch up on the series through this release.
