The Premise of BLUELOCK

The story revolves around Japan's national soccer team following a devastating defeat at the 2018 World Cup. In an attempt to revitalize the team, the Japan Football Union initiates a radical and controversial program called "Blue Lock." The program gathers 300 of the nation's most promising young strikers and pits them against each other in a cutthroat competition. The goal is to identify and cultivate an "absolute Ace Striker" who possesses an insatiable hunger for goals and a relentless thirst for victory. Only one striker will emerge from Blue Lock to lead the team to future success.
