The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess Concludes

The official X account for Piero Karasu's works has announced the culmination of the popular light novel series, "The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady" (Tensei Oujo to Tensai Reijou no Mahou Kakumei). The 13th and final volume of this enchanting series is set to be released on February 20th. Fans of the series can anticipate a satisfying conclusion to the adventures of Princess Anisphia and Euphyllia.

A New Fantasy Journey Begins

Simultaneously with the final volume's release, Karasu, in collaboration with Yuri Kisaragi, the original illustrator for "The Magical Revolution," will embark on a new fantasy light novel endeavor. Titled "Mob Shoujo ga Last Boss Majo wo Shiawase ni suru made," this new series promises another captivating story from the creative minds behind the beloved magical girl narrative. The simultaneous launch signifies a new chapter for both the author and illustrator.

A History of Magical Revolution

Piero Karasu first introduced the world to "The Magical Revolution" on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in February 2019. This girls love comedy fantasy series quickly gained traction, leading to its publication by Kadokawa under the Fantasia Bunko imprint in January of the following year. Yuri Kisaragi's illustrations brought the characters and world to life, further enhancing the series' appeal. The 12th volume, a precursor to the finale, was released on January 20th, building anticipation for the concluding chapter.

Manga Adaptation and Global Reach

The series' popularity extended beyond the light novels, with a manga adaptation by Harutsugu Nadaka beginning serialization in Monthly Dengeki Maoh in July 2020. The manga provided a visual interpretation of the story, attracting a broader audience. Kadokawa released the eighth volume of the manga on November 27th, demonstrating the continued success of the adaptation. Furthermore, Yen Press has licensed both the light novel and manga for English publication, bringing the magical revolution to international readers. They have already published the side story novel volume and the sixth manga volume, with the ninth and seventh volumes scheduled for release in June and February, respectively.

Anime Adaptation Captivates Audiences

The enchanting world of "The Magical Revolution" was further brought to life through a 12-episode television anime adaptation by Diomedéa. The anime aired in the Winter 2023 season, allowing viewers to experience the story in a dynamic and visually stunning format. Crunchyroll streamed the anime with multiple subtitle options, ensuring accessibility for a global audience and solidifying the series' international appeal.

Synopsis: A Princess and Her Revolution

Princess Anisphia, affectionately known as "Anis," has always held a deep fascination with flight, a dream often dismissed as frivolous by her kingdom. Adding to this challenge, Anis is unable to wield magic despite her royal lineage. Undeterred, she relinquishes her claim to the throne and dedicates herself to "magicology," a field she pioneers by combining resources with knowledge from her past life on Earth. Her unique approach sets her apart from traditional magic users.

As Anis pursues her unconventional path, the responsibility for the kingdom's future falls upon her younger brother, Algard. He is pressured into a political marriage with Euphyllia Magenta, a girl he barely knows. Algard, resistant to this arrangement, spends more time with a commoner, causing friction with Euphyllia. When Euphyllia attempts to intervene, Algard publicly ends their engagement, accusing her of bullying.

Anis, in a dramatic entrance, crashes into the banquet where Algard makes his announcement. Piloting her experimental flying broom, she rescues Euphyllia from the ensuing fallout. Anis decides to make Euphyllia her assistant, a proposition the other girl reluctantly accepts. While their partnership may appear spontaneous, Anis has a deeper reason for wanting Euphyllia's companionship, hinting at a complex dynamic between the two main characters. Their relationship becomes the heart of the story.
