CD Jacket Photos for Aya Hirano’s Long-Awaited 3rd Album Revealed
The official site for voice actress/singer Aya Hirano posted two CD jacket photos for her long-awaited third album "vivid" on January 17. It has been four years and three months since the release of her second album "Speed☆Star" in November 2009. Her costume in the photos was live-painted by Fantasista Utamaro, the artist who co-directed Hatsune Miku's 2012 music video "Tell Your World" with TAKCOM.
Hirano, who was best known as the voice of Haruhi Suzumiya, made her singer debut with the first single "Breakthrough" from Lantis in March 2006 and released many hit singles such as "Bouken Desho Desho?" (April 2006, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya OP) and "Super Driver" (June 2009, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya: 2009 Edition OP). In 2012, she moved to Universal Music Japan and released the first single from the company, "TOxxxIC" in February 2013 and second single "Promise"
(the insert song for the live-action film Kitakitsune Monogatari: The 35th Anniversary Renewal Edition) in October.
Her third album (the first from Universal) "vivid" contains 12 songs including "TOxxxIC" and "Promise"
and will be released in Japan on February 19. The limited edition comes with a DVD contains her latest
60-minute live concert footage at Akasaka Blitz in Tokyo on December 14, 2013, and the CD jacket photo
