The original story of Kyouran Reijou Nia Liston began as a web novel penned by Umikaze Minamino. It was serialized on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website from May 2019 to January 2021. The series gained significant popularity, leading to its publication as a light novel under Hobby Japan's HJ Bunko imprint.
The light novel series first launched with illustrations by Jishaku in September 2022, with Kanata Katana taking over as illustrator from the third volume onwards in September 2023. The 11th volume of the light novel was released recently on June 1.
For English-speaking fans, J-Novel Club licensed the light novel for digital release in November 2023 and has been consistently publishing the volumes, with the tenth volume released on September 1.
Furthermore, a manga adaptation, illustrated by Kodai Kabuto, began its serialization on the Manga UP! platform in November 2022. Square Enix published the eighth volume of the manga on February 6.
