Yuji Mitsuya Hospitalized After Drunken Incident

Beloved actor and voice actor Yuji Mitsuya is currently hospitalized after an unfortunate incident that occurred earlier this week. Mitsuya shared the news with his fans on Friday via his X/Twitter account, detailing the events that led to his hospitalization.

Details of the Incident

According to Mitsuya's posts, the incident took place on Tuesday. He recounts having been drinking, after which he apparently hit his head and lost consciousness. He awoke in a hospital bed with no recollection of how he had arrived there. Mitsuya described the aftermath, stating that he was experiencing pain throughout his entire body. He specifically mentioned a gash on his forehead, requiring stitches on his eyelid, and pain in his knees, elbows, and palms. Most seriously, he revealed that he had suffered a broken nose, necessitating urgent surgery. Adding to the concern, doctors informed him that there was bleeding in his brain. Mitsuya also shared a picture of his current condition with his followers.

Yuji Mitsuya boasts an impressive and extensive career in the world of voice acting. He began his journey in 1976, lending his voice to the character Hyouma Aoi in the mecha anime Combattler V. Since then, he has become a household name, voicing numerous iconic characters in some of the most popular anime series. His roles include Hyota Arakome in Space Battleship Yamato 2 - The Comet Empire, Marg in God Mars, Yuu Sakurakouji in Glass no Kamen, and Tatsuya Uesugi in Touch.
